A few months after starting her business, my guest today realized that she wasn’t just doing virtual assistant tasks for her clients, but was rather moving into the role of an Online Business Manager. Cory Zacker is an OBM that specializes in working with professionals in the therapeutic space. She created The Haven, not only to help people run their businesses but to literally make their lives less stressful and more enjoyable. Cory is here to answer all of our questions, like what the difference is between a VA and OBM and how her clients took the news of her business transition.

Cory was a lifelong New Yorker up until 2014 when she happily traded coasts. She has a B.A. in Communications and over 25 years of experience running businesses and helping others grow theirs. She is drawn to and specializes in working with service providers in the therapeutic/helping space. She created The Haven to not only help people run their businesses but to literally make their lives less stressful and more enjoyable. Cory has run her own tutoring agency, served on the Board of Directors of a special education school, worked with parent educators, psychotherapists, educational therapists, speech therapists, and professional organizers, just to name a few.
She has also been a regular contributor to the Huffington Post where she blogged on parenting and education. The Haven is a culmination of a career spent supporting, growing, creating, learning and hopefully, making a difference.
In her free time, Cory enjoys traveling, hiking, music and spending time with her favorite person, her 20-year-old son.
